In recent years, juices rich in micronutrients, vitamins such as ascorbic acid found in fruits such as oranges, lemon, grapes, and others have remained popular among consumers. Orcana Biotech LLC was ostensibly formed with intent on applying state of the art biomanufacturing equipment and food biotechnology principles to process and aseptically package premium juices and beverage to meet consumer’s needs.

The formation of Orcana Biotech LLC was preceded by an extensive feasibility and marketing study on trends, opportunities and challenges associated with the juice beverage, water, and protein bioprocessing industries. Orcana Biotech LLC is on the pathway to harness state of the art engineered plant and equipment with biotechnology and current scientific expertise to manufacture these products in response to an array of consumer demands and changing trends in the juice and beverage market.
In view of these diverse demands and in conformity with Regulation 21 CFR 101.2, Orcana Biotech LLC is scheduled to:
- Produce premium juices and other beverages for today’s health-conscious consumers
- Produce a variety of genuinely natural and fresh fruit juices of premium quality free of artificial preservatives
- Process and purified water with the state of the art 21st century biotechnologies in view of FDA and ISO specifications and other quality assurance and regulatory standards
- Partly conduct research on food quality, nutrition, and bioprocessing within its Quality Control and Product Development Departments
- Contract-manufacturing (co-packing) for corporate entities (hotels, restaurant-chains, and others)
Quality Control & assurance
Product authenticity, quality, nutritional data, microbial analysis will be conducted during the schedule product validation processes. These processes will be replicated at critical control points of the production cycles: raw materials (fruit juices, water, and others), air quality within the production facility, samples of products after reformulation, post pasteurization and finished products testing.
In addition to standard operation procedures (SOP) and requisite regulatory norms, Orcana Biotech LLC has a Quality Assurance Team that oversees the HACCP dossier. They ensure that all employees are trained and certified in compliant with FDA and county requirements on biomanufacturing safety.
TEAM DEVELOPMENT & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
All employees are mandated to participate in designated training and be certified in current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), International Standard Organizations (ISO) 9901 and 22000, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Kosher and Organic Certifications and any program of study consistent with food bioproduction.
